08/27/2010 - New Haven, CT (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Nadia Petrova and Caroline Wozniacki each won their semifinal matches to reach the championship match at the $600,000 Pilot Pen Tennis event, a final hardcourt U.S. Open tune-up.

The world No. 2 and top-seeded Wozniacki dropped her first set in the night match, but won the second-set and prevailed in a third-set tiebreak to down fourth-seeded Russian Elena Dementieva 1-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-5).

The Danish Wozniacki is the two-time reigning champ here and is fresh off a title in Montreal on Monday. She'll be the top seed at the U.S. Open, which starts Monday in New York.

Wozniacki will be going for her fourth title of the year and 10th in her career.

The eighth-seeded Petrova snuck past her unseeded compatriot Maria Kirilenko 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 in just under two hours at the Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale.

The 28-year-old 19th-ranked Petrova will appear in her 20th career final and seek a 10th championship. The former top-10 Muscovite hasn't titled on tour since 2008, which was also the last year she reached a finale.

The two finalists have played each other three times before, with Wozniacki taking two of the matches. Both of Wozniacki's wins against Petrova have come this year as she defeated the Russian at Indian Wells and Charleston.

Saturday's winner will pocket $98,500.
