Jyles to replace injured Bombers QB Pierce

09/08/2010 - Winnipeg, MB (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Steven Jyles will replace injured Winnipeg quarterback Buck Pierce for the foreseeable future, and possibly the remainder of the season.

Pierce dislocated his right elbow during Sunday's 27-23 loss at Saskatchewan. He suffered the injury when he was knocked to ground and landed on his right hand while bracing his fall. It's not known if he'll require surgery.

So far this season, Pierce has completed 80-of-120 passes for 1,080 yards with six touchdowns and four interceptions. Jyles is 1-3 as a starter this year and has connected on 93-of-148 throws for 1,322 yards with eight scores and two picks.
